When you have the following setting configured as enabled in a System Policy, the client thinks remote searching is disabled in the license.
and will generate this error when you attempt a Remote Location search:
Therefore when you try to search a remote location the error message is saying that the license is preventing it but the real issue is that it is disabled in policy. The method used by Spirion to disable remote machine searching is to disable it in the license, not in the functionality of the Client.
You can verify this by going to the Client>Settings>Resources and see if "Remote Machines:No" appears as below:
You can also verify if the following registry key exists:
Edit the Policy that has the "Settings>Locations>Remote>Disable>disableFeature_RemoteSearch" with a Status of "User Set" and change the value to "Allow remote search (Default)" by double-clicking on that setting as shown below:
