The Identity Finder Console requires Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) to be installed and properly configured before installing the console. This article provides links to installing IIS and details on the required Roles and Role Services configuration.

Installing IIS
Before running the console installer, IIS must be installed:

Roles and Role Services Configuration
After IIS has been installed, prior to running the console installer, at least the following Roles and Role Services must be configured. To begin, open the Server Manager application. If Roles or Roles Services are added after the DLP Enterprise Console installer has been run, it will be necessary to run the installer again.
Roles
Ensure that the following Roles are listed as "installed". If the roles are not installed, select "Add Roles" and add the appropriate role(s):
- Application Server
- Web Server (IIS)
Role Services
Ensure that the following Role Services are listed as "Installed". If the role services are not installed, select "Add Role Services" and add the appropriate role service(s):
For the "Application Server" Role:
- Application Server foundation (not listed in 2012 R2 and above)
- Web Server (IIS) Support
For the "Web Service (IIS)" Role:
- Web Server
- Common HTTP Features
- Static Content
- Default Document
- Directory Browsing
- HTTP Errors
- HTTP Redirection
- Application Development
- ASP .NET (just listed as ASP in 2016)
- .NET Extensibility
- ISAPI Extensions
